Carmen is a seasoned entrepreneur and a proud lover of felines who founded Slinky Cat at Home with her daughter, Marina (aka MiMi).

As cat parents and frequent overseas travelers (Carmen and her cats) have been in your shoes. Finding loving cat care should not be stressful for you or your cat. So what started out as a personal plight has now transformed into a much needed business service for local San Diego cat lovers.

MiMi has been the greatest supporter of this start up and shares in the caring of felines together with Carmen. Their mission is to provide peace of mind kitty care while their owners are away. As a former dolphin trainer, Carmen enjoys spending time with the cats in her care, observing their behavior and coming up with fun and enriching actives to keep the kitties engaged and occupied while their owners are away.

Together, Mimi and Carmen foster kittens, including bottle babies. Taking an active role in supporting local shelters and nurturing the next generation of amazing cats looking for their forever homes fills their hearts with joy. They also enjoy a weekend trip to CatCon every year where they are feline fine in their element, learning, and engaging with other like-minded cat enthusiasts.

Both Carmen & Mimi are experienced in giving oral and topical medicines, as well as supplements. Carmen clips nails, and Mimi loves to give any kitty a bath!
