Slinky Cat at Home is an established and well-loved cat-only pet sitting company. We are seeking exceptional cat-loving pet sitters to join our team. As a casual part-time Kitty Caregiver for Slinky Cat at Home, you will work on assignment to provide Drop-In Kitty Care Services within our clients’ homes.

We currently serve ameowzing cat families in the North County Coastal areas of San Diego County. Namely, Carlsbad, La Costa, Encinitas, Leucadia, Cardiff, Solana Beach & Del Mar, and Rancho Sante Fe. We are growing into the communities of Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and San Elijo Hills.

As a Slinky Cat Kitty Care Giver you can expect the following:

• Drop-In Kitty Care Assignments range from 1-2 visits per day for up to 3-14 days in duration.
• Each Drop-In Kitty Care Visit is 30 to 45 minutes in length.
• Typically Drop-In Kitty Care is serviced between 8-10am and 5-7pm for multiple daily visits, and between 11am-1pm for kitties seen once a day.
  

Primary Responsibilities:

• To care for every cat at every visit as per owner instructions – feeding, litter duties, cleaning, playing, and enrichment activities.
• To care for the client’s home as per owner instructions – light watering of indoor/ outdoor plants, mail and package pick-up, trash management on trash days, etc.
  

Requirements for this position:

• You LOVE Cats and humans who love cats too.
• You have a car.
• You are punctual, reliable, and a good communicator.
• You are a good listener with the ability to follow specific instructions to the “T”:
• You can commit to working with us through at least Summer 2025.
• You are available for both morning and evening visits.
• You are available 2 or more weekends per month.
• You are available to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s) … Don’t worry, you will be able to enjoy your holidays too, and you will be compensated more for each assignment during this time.)
• You can pass a criminal/background check.

Hours/Pay rate:

• We anticipate 12-30 Kitty Care Drop-In Visits per month, that’s 3-7 visits per week.
• We pay hourly, per visit ($16.50-17 depending on experience/vet tech training.
• We reimburse mileage in accordance with CA milage guidelines.
